UK Property Investors Networking Event Monthly Meetup

Hello UK Property Investors,

Happy New Year !!

Coming up on Monday 27th January 2014 at 19h00 we have confirmed speaker, SEAN THOMSON

Sean's Topic for the evening will be "How to turn a Pound into Profit

Sean  started his property investment career at the beginning of 2004 after working in the financial field for four years. After reading Rich Dad Poor Dad – Sean embarked on a mission of gaining knowledge, surrounding himself with people who were “doing it” and most of all taking massive action.

Sean’s initial strategy was buying houses with credit cards up North due to very cheap property being available and yields being superb. As well as building a portfolio incorporating Buy-to-Let, Distressed Property and Lease Options, Sean is fulfilling his passion of helping other people to do the same. Sean has now mentored over 100 students through his mentoring consultancy and is actively involved as a coach in MAP (Millionaire Action Plan) and the T60 Coaching Programme with two of his mentors, Mark Dalton & Lindsay Hopkins.

Sean’s passions is helping people move forward in their lives and breaking through any barriers in front of them – just as he has had to do and still does and looks forward to sharing his knowledge and helping you gain that “eureka moment”

UK Property Investors look forward to seeing you all there at our NORMAL venue which again is:

Hi everyone I am new to this group, thanks to pointers from Zhana which we did course with Tigrent together
I am here and asking for a help.

My offer was recently accepted in quite short time.
Project I need funding is in UK, Newport
HMO 6 beds I need £180,000 to purchase and do small refurbishment.
I can offer 20% equity in this project or If anyone is interested in completing multiple projects I am willing to negotiate on equity in company.
Funding for above project is needed at very short notice.
This is the first out of many to come in UK, and I am already looking at another 6 bed HMO.
Anyone interested or knows people interested please let me know.
More details will be provided to interested investors.

    Sincerely
    Patryk Machowiak

Some good tips - a few gems - plus the usual Tigrent stuff. Is there some reason why all the presenters were white and male? Are there no Black investors in London? No women????

Caroline's point on identification helps for some, but I'm with Mark, as race or colour makes no difference to me. If someone else can do it, so can I...I just need to take action and make it happen.

Thanks to the organizer and all three speakers. Very informative. I did not have any chance to speak to the speaker who is a mortgage broker. Can anyone please provide his name? Thanks.

Hi Ali, the mortgage broker was Rory Shackleton

Of course it matters, Mark. We are not "hearing from ANY investor". This does not mean that what the presenters offered was not valuable - of course it was. But why are they always white and male????

    January 28, 2014

    • Mark L.

Obviously you think it's issue but I guess nobody else does. There could be any number of reasons: there aren't any (unlikely); none have made it known that they want to present; busy on other issues etc etc but it's clear you have an issue with the presenters being male and white! Weird but I thought we lived in a cosmopolitan country where these kind of issues didn't exist!

The business case for diversity: The Lord Mayor of London says that more diversity would be good for business. She says that "the city risks falling behind its competitors if it fails to embrace diversity in its business culture".

I was wondering about the dress code. Is it a black tie event?

    1 · January 19, 2014

    • Steve P.

Hi Ali, it's a very casual but tidy event. There is no dress code but casual tidy would be a sensible choice as it's held in a very smart hotel. Rgds Steve

Hi All. I'm a newbie to the group. I wonder if anyone can help. What would be the best way to approach a vendor who has issues with their tenants making it difficult for potential investors to view the property they are living in that is for sale. She is not that motivated to get them out as so she can sell as it will cut off her income. Could one offer to pay her the rental if she were to sell and get the tenants out?
