The Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals (ULGA-YP) hosts its annual Super Saturday political forum on September 28, 2013 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at Grady High School in Atlanta, Georgia. Super Saturday is a voter education event that enhances the civic and political knowledge of the Metro Atlanta community. This signature event is an integral part of ULGA-YP’s mission to facilitate civic empowerment and political engagement.
Super Saturday provides you with the only opportunity to ask questions and hear directly from local candidates seeking city council and mayoral offices concerning the most important issues facing your communities and their platforms. In addition, Super Saturday will host a workshop titled “Georgia Politics 101,” an interactive presentation on how local and state government operates. Our invited guests include Congressman John Lewis, State Senator Hunter Hill, State Senator Donzella James, Councilman Kwanzaa Hall, State Representative Alisha Thomas-Morgan, State Senator Mike Jacobs, and Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens.
Super Saturday is free to attend and will include a complimentary lunch. Don’t miss this opportunity to visit first-hand those seeking power to make the decisions that impact your life.
