Hello and Welcome to the Eastern North Carolina Chapter of UNIFEM-USNC, a chapter of the United States National Committee for UNIFEM. We are a 501c3 not-for-profit, all-voluntary organization whose goals are to educate the public, raise funds, and advocate for US policies to support UNIFEM mission. This North Carolina Chapter was launched in June 2008. 

In collaboration with our partners, we host educational events and fundraising events such as film screenings and our 5K Spring Walk from September through May in various cities in North Carolina. Our chapter will also host the 2011 US UNIFEM National Conference on June 11, 2011 in Raleigh. These events are open to the public.  Additionally, we host members meetings quarterly which feature noted speakers on topics affecting women. To become a member and attend these special quarterly meetings, please join UNIFEM and select the annual general membership fee or the applicable membership fee tiered for specific women's categories.

Lastly, please take a moment to join our chapter's Facebook group to be informed of our North Carolina Chapter's upcoming events and to engage with other like-mind North Carolinians to stop the plights of women and girls across the world.  There are no fees to join our Facebook group or our Meetup group.
