VETERANS TOWNHALL MEETING: REFORMING THE VA
When it comes to serving our veterans, the VA Reno Regional Benefit Office has the worst record in the nation. At the Reno Office roughly 6,396 veterans are awaiting for their Veterans Affairs disability compensation claims, with 66.5% backlogged for more than 125 days. It also takes an average of 392 days to complete the claim. Nationally, 660,580 veterans are awaiting for their Veterans Affairs disability compensation claims and 57.2% backlogged 125 days. Veterans’ waiting in line for claims—sometimes for years—is utterly unacceptable.
Panelists will include Pete Hegseth, CEO of Concerned Veterans for America, and Darin Selnick, Military Advisor to Concerned Veterans for America and former assistant to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs.
Note: Additional panelists to be named very soon.
This event, sponsored by CVA’s Nevada chapter, is the first in our 2014 policy state series entitled “Defend & Reform: Defending Freedom by Advancing Reform.”
Registration is free and dinner will be served. To RSVP visit HERE.
