Every one should be calling and emailing their House members and Senators that they have had enough of Obama and Reid.

Latest Obama Maneuver: Cancel Navy - Air Force Football Game

We all saw how the Obama administration put up barricades around the memorials in Washington DC. Well, here's the latest Obama maneuver to make the government shutdown appear like the end of the world to the American people.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel announced Tuesday that intercollegiate sports at the Defense Department's three service academies would be cancelled during the government shutdown, including Saturday’s important Navy-Air Force football game in Annapolis, MD.

The problem with this latest Obama maneuver is that the Naval Academy Athletic Association is a private organization not funded by the government. Chet Gladchuk, the Navy Athletic Director, said the Navy-Air Force game could be held without any appropriated funding. The Air Force also has an athletic association that operates using private funds, donations and revenue from intercollegiate contests.

Gladchuk said: “We could run our entire athletics program and conduct events as we always do without any government funds. In talking to the Air Force athletic director, their football team could execute the trip without government funding.”

When asked why the Department of Defense was suspending intercollegiate athletic contests if government funds are not required, Gladchuk said he was told it was about “optics.”

There you have it, just as closing Mount Rushmore, veterans’ memorials and monuments to our founding fathers, it’s all about "optics" and hurting the American people to this president.
