Another Big Obama Lie: "Al Qaeda Has Been Decimated"

Three days ago, al Qaeda militants overran the Iraqi cities of Fallujah and Ramadi, just 50 miles from Iraq's capital, Baghdad. Secretary of State John Kerry promised to support for Iraq's government. Today the U.S. State Department announced concerning al Qaeda's expansion in Iraq and Syria, that is was "concerned by efforts of the terrorist Al Qaeda/ Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant to assert its authority in Syria as well as Iraq ... Their barbarism against civilians of Ramadi and Fallujah and against Iraqi Security Forces is on display for all to see."

This summer on August 2nd the State Department issued a worldwide travel alert because of an al Qaeda terrorist threat and closed 21 U.S. embassies across Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

On September 11, 2012, Ansar al-Sharia, an al Qaeda militant group attacked and killed four Americans in Benghazi, Libya.

But didn't Barack Obama, the President with the most transparent administration in history, tell the American people for months
during his 2012 reelection campaign and then in his National Defense speech in May 2013 that al Qaeda was on the path to defeat, on the run and decimated?

May 23, 2013 National Defense University, Washington DC: "After the death of Osama bin laden and his top lieutenants, al Qaeda has been decimated, scattered across North Africa and the Middle East and able to launch only small scale attacks."

Al Qaeda decimated? Able only to launch small scale attacks? Really?

Obama isn't the author of the "Lie of the Year" for nothing.
