Constitutional Amendment: President And Congress Equal To Citizens Under The Law

Call your Congressmen and tell them that you want the Amendment to the Constitution passed and sent to the States for ratification.

Senator Rand Paul has introduced bill SJ Res 25 in the Senate amending the Constitution. In the House of Representatives, Congressmen Jeff Duncan of South Carolina, Steve Daines of Montana, Ron DeSantis of Florida, Matt Salmon of Arizona, David Schweikert of Arizona, Doug Collins of Georgia, Andy Barr of Kentucky and Lynn Jenkins of Kansas, all Republicans, introduced a companion bill HJ Res 98.

The amendment would hold government officials to the same standard as the American people. The amendment states that "Congress shall make no law applicable to a citizen of the United States that is not equally applicable to Congress." The amendment also contains two provisions that apply the same principle to the Executive Branch and Judicial Branch of the federal government.

Not one Democrat sponsored the bills. This proves exactly what they are.

The United States is a republic, not a monarchy. Members of Congress, the President, members Executive Branch and members of the Judicial Branch are our public servants, not royalty.

ObamaCare is a prefect example of what is wrong with our government. The President, the Executive Branch and Judicial Branch are exempt from this law. The only reason why Congress is not exempt is because of an amendment put into the law by Republican Senator Charles Grassley that made Congress subject to ObamaCare. Then after our so called public servants complained to Obama that they should not be subject to his signature achievement, the president, through the Office of Personnel Management, issued a rule subsidizing members of Congress and their staffs with our money.

King Obama ordains ObamaCare subsidies for Aristocrats in Congress. Jester Biden looks on in support.

According to these people, ObamaCare is good for us, but not for them. Who says Washington D.C. can not solve problems? They solve their problems with our money.

It is time to stop these people. Here is the Amendment to the Constitution:

S.J.RES.25
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States relative to applying laws equally to the citizens of the United States and the Federal Government. (Introduced in Senate - IS)
SJ 25 IS

113th CONGRESS

1st Session

S. J. RES. 25
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States relative to applying laws equally to the citizens of the United States and the Federal Government.

IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES

October 11, 2013
Mr. PAUL introduced the following joint resolution; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

JOINT RESOLUTION
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States relative to applying laws equally to the citizens of the United States and the Federal Government.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled (two-thirds of each House concurring therein), That the following article is proposed as an amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution when ratified by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States:

'Article--
'Section 1. Congress shall make no law applicable to a citizen of the United States that is not equally applicable to Congress.

'Section 2. Congress shall make no law applicable to a citizen of the United States that is not equally applicable to the executive branch of Government, including the President, Vice President, ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls, and all other officers of the United States, including those provided for under this Constitution and by law, and inferior officers to the President established by law.

'Section 3. Congress shall make no law applicable to a citizen of the United States that is not equally applicable to judges of the Supreme Court of the United States, including the Chief Justice, and judges of such inferior courts as Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.

'Section 4. Nothing in this article shall preempt any specific provision of this Constitution.'

No doubt Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Senate Judiciary Chairman Patrick Leahy, both Democrats, will try to kill the bill in the Senate Judiciary Committee before it can come to the floor of the Senate. Here are the names of the Committee members:
