For our June 2013 meeting, James Pannacciuli will be delivering an
encore presentation of his SCALE11x talk which was well attended and
In this presentation James will present a broad but detailed
introduction to advanced Bash features for users who are comfortable
using Bash at least at a basic or intermediate level. He will cover
the distinction between various
command types (file, builtin, function, keyword), as well as how to
find appropriate system and command documentation. Compound commands
like for loops, while loops, conditionals and command groups will be
covered, along with how these can be used to build functions. He will
also explore effective usage of parameter expansion (substitution and
indirection), string manipulation, and brace expansion.
After the meeting, attendees are invited to mingle with many of the
chapter members at UUASC-LA's new after meeting location Father's
Office which is a short walk from Media Temple.

M-GO is in between the Expo Line Culver City and La Cienaga stations.
Public Parking is available on Hayden which intersects National.
The building is located on the Conjunctive Points complex which
includes Eric Owen Moss' conceptually challenging designs. Several of
Mr. Mosses' buildings (or portions thereof), are designated under Culver City's
Architecture as Art program.
Assuming you parked on Hayden, enter via the gate at 3528-42 Hayden,
as you pass the gate the M-GO building to your far left in front of
the 4 story parking structure.
