Welcome!
A Meetup group for introverts? An oxymoron, right? Wrong!
As introverts we get our energy from spending time alone, but that doesn’t mean we don’t like to be social or we don't have anything to say.
We welcome all introverts, from those who are shy to those who are outgoing.

This group was inspired by Susan Cain's, "Quiet, The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking." It is a highly recommended read.
What do we do?
You decide, but mostly we will meetup one-on-one or in small groups for various activities or just to talk. Small groups are more conducive to the needs of introverts, but there are no hard and fast rules here, other than respect for and the safety of our members.
Am I an introvert?
Not everyone is aware that they are an introvert, because our extroverted and personality driven society rather forces us into roles we may not be truly suited to. Take a look at these 10 Myths About Introverts and see if you are one, too:

Get Involved!
If you have an idea for a meetup or would like to host one, please let me know. Introverts may have common traits, but our interests vary greatly. Join the discussion board to find out if there are others with your interests. Don't forget to consider volunteer opportunities as Meetup events!
Want to take a poll? Ask me, we'll set one up.
Our members make the group, so please don't hesitate to participate.
Our Default Go-To Spot: Hungarian Pastry Shop
On weekday evenings, the Hungarian Pastry Shop is not only its usual introvert-friendly self, but is also less crowded. This location will therefore be a "tentative" event on the weekly calendar. If there is RSVP'd interest and we get a host, then it's on. If you want it on a different day or time, just let me know. Tentative means flexible. Note: Hungarian Pastry Shop does not take credit cards.
MEMBER GUIDELINES
Respect. Integrity. Compassion. RSVP. Fees.
Please treat all members with respect, integrity, and compassion.
Report member problems to the group's organizer.
Be kind to your host and be sure to RSVP ahead of time.
If the host of an event has no RSVPs by six hours before the event, they have permission to remove themselves from the event and try another date and time.
If you have RSVP'd as attending and are later unable to go, please change your RSVP to 'not attending' or else you may not be able to attend future meetups. Accurate RSVP status falls under the respect category, so I assume it won't be an issue :)
Your organizer has chosen to cover the fees for this Meetup group, so events will be free except for those that have their own venue charge. Ie) The table tennis club charges $8/person per hour of play; those fees must be paid by you (and they don't take credit cards.) If you want to voluntarily contribute to the Meetup fees, you are welcome to do so. When we have sponsors, you are also welcome to help defray Meetup costs by using our sponsors links when making purchases.
