My first time at the UX bookclub, NYC! Great time. Learned a lot and scored a free book! Who doesn't love free books? Can't wait for the next meetup!

Wowza, y'all officially have the best discount code of anyone! It more than pays for the admission to this event. That's awesome.

This will be my first book club appearance and different in that I'll assume most of you have seen the book. If you have questions about ideas I *didn't* cover in the book please leave a comment here.

Thanks again for joining us Victor!

I was wondering if you had any thoughts on the recent troubles on BlackBerry. Do you see any new lessons learned? Or do you think they made similar mistakes to the ones outlined in your book?

      1 · September 23, 2013

    • Victor L.

I didn't research BlackBerry, but it feels like a similar situation as Symbian (a case study in the book) where they didn't embrace a radically better UI technology (touch) fast enough, or skillfully, enough.

    • Christopher Troy S.

We haven't set a number of attendees yet since it can be dependent on the space we use.

    July 25, 2013

    • Christopher Troy S.

It's not full. We haven't opened up the RSVPs yet since we don't know the location or date. Once we locked that down we'll open up the RSVPs to all the members.
