Incorporating Agile and UX

  • June 10, 2014 · 5:30 PM

Agile seems always to be very developer focused. UX always seems to sit on the opposite side being very design focused.

Can the the two play well together, is it possible to combine Agile and UX practices together to get the best of both worlds.   Can it be done and not lose out on the key strengths of both practices.

Is there a place for design and discovery in the world of development and testing that agile promotes.

Yes, the two can be combined, but it's going to take a little give and take from both sides, come along and find out how.

Thanks heaps Gary. A great presentation that inspired some engaging discussions.
I particularly liked your opening statement "Don't come here expecting an answer, the answer is always - It depends."

Interesting talk - thanks guys. On the entertaining feud of Whiteboard vs paper vs digital:

    whiteboard paper?!...

expensive, possibly OTT but universal solution, the MS Surface pro with stylus by Wacom...

Everything in the talk was true in the context it was given; good job Gary. It was a pity some of the egos in the room couldn't get past their own methods and experiences to hear what was actually being said.

Great preso, I would've liked to hear more of the Agile terms to get a sense of the UX integration. Thanks a bunch though very good presentation and great discussion afterwards

The preso promoted some robust discussion, thanks Gary. I always like seeing your sketches, however I'm better with a whiteboard or Balsamiq :)

Would love to be there (hope this isn't another idea I asked for) but my Tuesdays and Thursdays are tied up with Founder Institute for a few months.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
