Interface designer/app designer who can't stop looking at the world without my UX goggles on
Seeing the world through the eyes of a UX professional means I am now cursed with looking at everything designed by humans and immediately start thinking of ways to improve it. Coming from a print design background I never had to worry about a design serving more than a single purpose but now the things I create actually: A) serve multiple purposes, and B) work as best as possible for the people who use them. Being immersed in the constant search for the perfect balance of form and function, this drives me to dig deeper with each new project. Aside from excelling in the ever changing wild west of designing experiences for mobile devices and the traditional discipline of illustration I am also interested in the burgeoning areas of transmedia, digital storytelling, ARGs, and the social media driven aspects of interaction that people are being engaged with through these modern mediums.
Manmade: Art (creating and experiencing); music (listening and seeing live); tech (experiencing and being part of the process for making) Natural: Ocean (scubadiving or swimming in); bush (walking or camping); Space (dreaming of going to or just daydreaming by looking at)
Ex-pat Canadian creative type living in a warmer climate than my extended family does (don't get much sympathy when it hots up to say the least)
