Hello UX Book Club Members! A few quick updates:

Upcoming Meetings:

Holidays bumped the October and December meetings from our typical "last Wednesday of the month" schedule:

Wednesday, October 24

Book: The Shape of Design by Frank Chimero

Location: GrubHub (Their brand new downtown offices – Thanks Zeke!)

Wednesday, November 28

Book: TBD

Location: TBD

Wednesday, December 19

Book: Cadence & Slang by Nick Disabato w/special guest Nick Disabato!

(I know it is the holiday season, but please try to join us for this special event. Nick is a brilliant guy and a great speaker. Let’s show him some UX Book Club love :)

Location: TBD

As always, if you have a book or location suggestion, please let me know.

Call for Co-Organizers!

Please let me know if you would like to become a “co-organizer.” I’m looking for one or two people to take on the following tasks (very simple!):

Twitter Organizer

-Follow back anyone that follows our account: https://twitter.com/uxbookchicago

-When meetings are announced, tweet the details (including the twitter handles of the authors, if available).

-Tweet a reminder a day before the meeting.

Website Updater

-Provide general admin oversight for the Wordpress website: http://uxbookclubchicago.org/

-When meetings are announced, post the details along with a link back to the meetup site.

In addition, I'd expect that you would:

-Attend most/all of the meetings

-Read the book each month

-Help me think about future book ideas, meeting spaces, group housekeeping.
