UX Storytelling with Elisabeth Bentley

At its very essence, User Experience is a multi-disciplinary practice.  The UX practitioner must be conversant in technical and business requirements but also in design principles, psychology, marketing and communication skills.  Harmonizing the needs and working styles of users, stakeholders and creative partners frequently falls to the UX professional in the room, however these ‘soft’ skills are difficult to describe, to teach or even to identify.

Using Aristotle and Joseph Campbell as points of departure, this workshop will explore personas, scenarios and user journeys as tools not only for data-driven design but also as invaluable means of  communication.

Springboarding off scenarios we will investigate new methods that use story as a nexus between the hard realities of business and technical requirements and the desired goals of intuitive and delightful experiences.
