Putting Personas to Work

Putting Personas to Work: Getting Personas Adopted Throughout Your Organization - With Carol Smith

Once personas come to life via the UX team, they need to be introduced to the entire development team and then utilized for their lifecycle. Creating a successful persona program can be a huge challenge. This session covers strategies for making sure that the personas you create carry their weight for the project and become indispensable to your team.

Carol Smith motivates teams to design products and services to meet the needs of their intended users. Carol has worked on projects for the US government, non-profits and corporations in a variety of industries. She is an active member of the UXPA and just finished her second term on the Board of Directors as Vice President. Carol has a Masters degree in Human-Computer Interaction, has presented on UX topics around the world, and is the eBusiness User Experience Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Hi everyone! Unfortunately the winter weather is now said to be starting at 7pm with a tenth to a half inch of ice possible and 3-7 inches of snow. We decided that it is probably best to move tonights meetup to THIS THURSDAY - Feb 6th. Same time, same place, same amazing speaker! Sorry for any inconvenience! I hope everyone can make it on Thursday and stay safe if we do indeed experience stormpocalypse.

Hey Erica, Geoff, Jeremy and Patrick:

I have a standing meeting until 6:30 that evening. Would I be disturbing the event if I arrived at 7pm? Thanks,

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
