This is a progressive class for four consecutive Saturdays. Each class will build upon the previous one. All class materials are provided. Please RSVP, so I will have an accurate count to prepare materials. Cost: $40 total for 8 hours of instruction and materials.

A final thank you to Lynn for putting together a wonderful learning experience. I have taken lessons over the years on several different instruments from a variety of teachers but none of them were as gifted to teach or as pleasant a person as Lynn Weaver. It's not just a bunch of people goofing around on ukulele, either. I felt a great deal of thought went into the lesson plans. Lynn managed to pack in a tremendous amount of information at every session and she paid close attention to each of us noting our progress and difficulties as we progressed over the weeks. The bottom line here is Lynn Weaver's beginning ukulele class was a very worthwhile experience from a learning perspective and a lot of fun in the process. I've never enjoyed learning a new instrument as much and for such a bargain price! Feel free to quote me in any future announcements for classes you teach, Lynn. I would love to see others overcome any shyness or hesitation to have as much fun and learn so much as I did.

Once again, a fabulous class! I gave up years ago trying to understand "The Circle of 5th's" but today, Lynn explained it in a way that I finally got it! What a gift! If there are some of you left who are too shy to attend a group class because you feel you may be the one lagging behind, this is the class for you. My wife was fearful she would struggle and stand out negatively, but she easily followed Lynn's superb lesson and walked out all confidence and smiles. Lynn has a gift for teaching the ukulele and her enthusiasm is infectious. What a fun two hours! Great exercises to practice at home.

What a great bunch! Everyone did so well, and caught on very quickly! One of my favorite parts of the morning was watching Peter- Anthony roaring off on his BIG, very LOUD, motorcycle with the top of his ukulele sticking out of a backpack. Gotta love it!

This was a wonderful beginning class! Lynn covered a lot of ground but managed to pay attention to everyone and like her personality, has a wonderfully positive teaching style. Good lesson materials and good homework assignments to focus the beginner on basics. I can't wait for the next one! Ruth got an emergency call and could not be there (she is a nurse who is involved with home healthcare) but made it clear to her company she will not be available next week so expect us both there this coming Saturday.

Oops. I see the class is 2 hrs long. I can only attend the first session. Is it still ok that I sign up? or do I need to be able to attend all 4 sessions? Thank you.

I'm thinking about doing an evening beginner's class sometime this summer. Perhaps that will work better for you. You really won't get your money's worth with just one class.

Ok. Would you "un-sign" me up? Thank you. We'll be gone most of the summer but I will certainly watch for other sessions as I am so excited to take this class.

My husband,Bill, and I bought our first ukes in Maui in Jan 2013. We are real beginners. We have taken beginners lessons thru Henderson Park and Rec, and also an online course. We would like to join a group like yours, but we probably need a lot more practice before we do that. We are motivated, just real novices.

There's no time like the present! You and Bill come and join us and you will be prepared to jump right with the rest of the group. You are probably further along than some others joining the class.

Hi Kathy! This group is about having fun! Don't worry about being a novice, everyone has to start somewhere. My personal experience has been to attend as many jamms as you can and play as many chords as you can. Not only will you become a better player, you'll have tons of fun, and you'll meet the best people on earth!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
