I first became imterested in the Ukulele as a young child when everyone around me was playing and singing along. My Dad played his every day and I remember flipping the pages of his old Hawaiian songbook.
Growing up in Hawaii I have so many , that's a very hard question to answer. Aunty Genoa Keawe and all my ohana, Denis Pavao, The Pahinui's and Kapena just to name a few.
I am a total beginner with the gift of being able to tune by ear since a child :O)
3 , however, I am learning to play on my Lanikai. The Martin and Kamaka are stored away for safe keeping and my father is the only one who brings them out to play.
I enjoy most all music.
Aloha, island girl from Kailua, Oahu. I lived in California and now reside in Las Vegas. I'm Hawaiian / Portuguese. Strumming just a few notes on the ukulele is all I do. I'm excited to surround myself with those who play this sweet instrument!
Perfect company and a good time!
