Montrose Ukulele Jam at The Elbow Room

We will be on the partially shaded patio, so dress accordingly. The Elbow Room has wonderful coffee drinks and delicious sandwiches. Come early and enjoy lunch with us, the strumming starts at 2:30pm. Free parking available in the lot just to the east, corner of Honolulu and Wickham Way.

First hour is open jam - please bring a song you'd like to share (15 copies please)? During the second hour we will be practicing our set for the May 24th performance of the Honolulu Avenue Strummers at La Canada Fiesta Days. All are welcome to jam along, even if you're not participating in the show.

Thanks Bambi & Maxx for all the organization and work you put in to every jam! Sweet solos by Alissa and Judy today. It was nice to see some new faces.

How early? With the Amgen bike race and Pasadena walk and ride, I'm looking to head north early. I can always hang out at work tho

I don't have time to post copies, but we'll mostly be doing stuff you should already have. First hour we'll play songs from our previous booklets, upon request, so please bring them along. I'll have extra booklets for the new folks. I'm really encouraging folks to bring a song to share. We had some great ones last month we didn't have time to get to - this month we will make time!

For the second hour, the Fiesta Days set we will work on is as:

    Ring of Fire (G)
    Under the Boardwalk (C)
I'll Melt With You (C/Fadd9 version)
    Pearly Shells (F)
    Little Grass Shack (G)
Five Foot Two (C - banjolele)
The Rainbow Connection (G - banjolele)
    The Lion Sleeps Tonight (G)
Do You Want to Build a Snowman (C- Alissa leads)
    Ho Hey (C)
    Happy (F7)
Somewhere Over The Rainbow/Wonderful World (C)
    Happy Trails (C)

Can we get copies of the music with chords and lyrics to practice before the jam on May 17th?
