Planning meeting for our new group

Folks, Dave and I are going to get together quickly this afternoon at York County Community College in Wells at 3 p.m. to do a little planning for the group.  This is very last minute, I know, but everyone is welcome if you can make it.  I don't suppose we'll get into a wild jam session or anything, so you won't miss much, but we will surely *plan* for our next wild jam session and I will keep you posted.

I'm still waiting to hear from the Hive in Kennebunk about a day/evening/time when we might be able to play there.  We also have a few offers of a place to play from our very own members here (thank you!).  I anticipate sending out a poll next week after I hear from the Hive to see if we can pointpoint a day/time, frequency, and location of meeting that suits us all.

Stay tuned!

Amber and I talked about meeting once or twice a month on Monday early evenings. How does that work for everyone? Are you interested in meeting this coming Monday 7/21?

So sorry, but I won't be able to make it. I already have a commitment with SNHUG this afternoon. We're practicing for our gig at the Eliot tractor show next weekend! Please let me know how it goes though! I hope I can make it next time!

Hi guys! I'm definitely interested in being a part of this group too! Are you thinking of having it be a sub-group of SNHUG for those who live more on the Maine and New Hampshire Seacoast? Since I know all of you, feel free to write to me about transportation, as Eliot is a little far from Wells. Any carpooling would be greatly appreciated. Keep me posted when you all decide on a time to meet. Hope to see you soon!

Alex, that would be the Seacoast Strummers (ok, there is no such group to my knowledge, but there should be and they should meet on a boat!

It's at the Trinity Chapel right off of the beech on Railroad Ave. The group has been getting larger every week. It's called a UKE group but anyone can come with any instrument. The leader of the group is Rev Dr Leander Harding and he is here for the summer. He plays a mean harmonica and UKE. All of the song books are provided and it's all sing along. There are chairs and even music stands, but I usually bring my own as the group is growing. We meet outside at 4:00 or a little B 4. The little chapel is really neat with lots of history.
