Intermediate ukulele class

  • Apr 20, 2013 · 2:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Do you want to learn how to...

  • Play in every key?
  • Understand and play above the 5th fret?
  • Understand and play strange chords like 'aug', 'dim', 'm7b5', 'add9', etc?
  • Become a better musician?
  • Play instrumental solos?

The URoC intermediate class after every Saturday regular meetup will hopefully aim to address these skills and more, such as different strums and picking patterns; riffs, licks and vamps; playing by ear; etc...

All are welcome.

We will start in the same room (Kinder Hall) 5 - 10 minutes after the regular Saturday meeting has finished and end before 5:00 pm.

I recommend the following text for intermediate uke:
Fred Sokolow and Jim Beloff. Fretboard Roadmaps: Ukulele. Hal Leonard.

Hi Francine, Keith, Rod and Sam,

I thought I posted this earlier but it seems not to have gone through.

Can we make it at 2:30 instead? I've got a gig at Beyond Q across the road at the Curtin shops from 12 to 2 and it might take me a while to pack up and get to the church.

Come and listen to me at Beyond Q if you're free.

Keith: Yes, I bring all handouts necessary. You don't need to have the book. I've been thinking about reorganising the lessons anyway to a more modular system.

    See you later at 2:30!

    Jay

Hi Jay..I have been playing since Nov. 2012 do you think this
intermediate course would be above my experience.
if not I,ll be there if there is any vacancies left.
What music will I need as those listed above would
be a bit hard to obtain before tomorrow
