Three Chord 3rd Thursday meeting at Italo Club

Regular 3rd Thursday of the month meeting at the Italo Club, Forrest.

Some people will be there at about 6:00 for a drink and/or meal on 3rd Thursdays before we begin at 7:00.

This is 3 chord Thursday. All songs played tonight will have only 3 chords, regardless of which 3. Please bring about 25 copies of any new songs you want us all to play.

Hi everyone, I would love to introduce Nick Cave's The Ship Song tonight. Here is a link to the move as im not a good singer and would hate to be the only person to know it.

I've only just finished the Beginner's Class at CIT so...can you tell me the 3 chords for this meeting so I arrive feeling just a bit more confident after a bit of prior practice - I hope! I'm buying my husband a Ukuele for Xmas & he's thinking of doing the Beginner's Class early next year so would it be ok for him to just come along to the club at 6 to have a drink & find out a little more? Ps if anyone has some v simple Xmas songs for pre-schoolers please send them to me as I'm a retired teacher who volunteers for a session each week. Thanks!

Hi Christine, I may have mentioned in the classes that it is not just 3 chords that are played for the whole night, rather every song has only 3 chords, so there may be 10 or more chords played over the evening. Also, if you go to the MORE section at the top of this page, then scroll down to FILES you will see a file called URoC Christmas songbook. There are many Xmas songs there for you to choose from.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
