Well, the Glebe Village thang is over, but that doesn't mean we can't still plan a flash mob as a centenary gift to the good burghers of Canberra. In case you've never seen a flash mob, here is an example (to see lots of others, go to YouTube and enter Flash mob in the search field):

Yes, we have done a couple of flash mobs in Melbourne: in a restaurant and some did one on the tram, which caused them to miss their stop!

That is the mother of flash mobs! Lots of (good) cameras, pro HD production, a great buildup and finale with uplifting music and professional performance. A big undertaking.
My 2c: it would be good to do something like this in conjunction with UROC's cd release to help promote it. And to have fun.

Great idea, Andrew. Civic would be a great spot, maybe lunch time, then pull out the box of CDs.
Note to self: first make CDs

A minor quibble!
There seems to be a whole sub-genre of symphony orchestra flash mobs, witness:

as sent by my sister-in-law.
BTW, it appears the Beethoven 9th finale flash mob and video was a pro job set up by the bank in front of which they perform - oddly enough...
