Flash Wino: Wine Growlers? Ya Don't Say! Thurs. 6/12

**Last Minute Event!  Just Found out about this one but it's too intriguing not to pass on. If you work downtown or can get here, I think you'll love it!**

The Tasting Room in Post Alley, next door to Kell's, is a consortium of wineries that sell tasting flights , glasses of wine and bottle sales for the locals and tourists alike. We've had a few events here but it's been ages! Time to revisit.

They are having a keg party in Post Alley with wine on tap instead of beer.

Why? Here's more information about the event  and the why of it,,,

"To celebrate the new state law and start filling wine growlers. Wine growler legislation, HB 1742 was passed and goes into effect on June 12th. This means we can refill wine growlers onsite in Post Alley now, whereas previously they were only able to be filled at the winery. Granting off-site tasting rooms the right to refill is another step towards supporting green practices in winemaking. This is something Wilridge Winery has always prioritized. They started the state’s first wine bottle refill and keg system with their Maison wines.

Our regulars and visitors have embraced the Maison line by swapping empty bottles for full ones, enjoying $4 glass pours from our in-house keg system and renting the kegs for off-site parties. Wine kegs at weddings are always a hit. As the laws become more friendly to small family wineries, we will continue to celebrate the achievements and positive changes in our legislation.

Joins us on June 12th from 5:30- 9pm and get your first 1.5 liter refillable Maison bottle/growler started without deposit for the special occasion. Magnum bottle growlers cost $20 + $8 bottle deposit on your first purchase. The $8 deposit will be waived for all new Maison purchases made during the party. We will have a fabulous cheese, cured meats and market produce spread out to enjoy with the wines. $12 at the door covers your first glass of wine & access to the nosh table.

Live music will be provided by our in-house favoriteAndre Lovett to keep the party festive! Winemaker & wine lawyer Paul Beveridge *will be on hand to celebrate, answer questions and fill up growlers of his Maison wines."

*Paul is one of our Wino members by the way, introduce yourself!
