Wine Event Volunteer Gig - Saturday September 14th 12 - 4pm

From: Diana S
Sent on: Tuesday, August 27, 2013 10:48 PM

If you want to see what it's like to volunteer for a wine event organizer, get the behind the scenes look at volunteering for wineries and events they promote, here's your chance. Please see the email I received from Alicia Hansen and if you want to help with this worthy cause. Contact Alicia at [address removed].

**Of course if you would rather buy a ticket, do the tastings and bring your furry friend along, you can do that too.**

You will be able to enjoy and participate in the event in between your runs!!!
Hi Everyone,
I am helping produce the Happy Tails Wine Walk benefitting Homeward Pet.  This will take place in the Hollywood District and includes such wineries as Brian Carter, William Church, Canon de Sol, J Bookwalter and Otis Kenyon.  http://www.homewardpet.org/walk/index.html

Saturday September 14th     12 - 4pm  (volunteers asked to show up at 11:45 and stay till 4pm)

I will need several energetic people to be 'bottle runners'.  If I get enough people, each person will be assigned a winery. If not, you will be assigned 3 -4 wineries.   It will be your job to pick up any purchased bottles at the winery then bring them to the Bottle Pick Up Tent, located at Cave B/Soft Tail Spirits (by car or by foot).   I would say you will be going back and forth every 45 minutes but we can adjust that as needed.  The public will be told that bottles will be available 2 hours after purchase so that gives you plenty of time to make your runs.

I will also need help with organization in the Bottle Pick Up tent.

Homeward Pet is also looking for volunteers that will help with ticket sales, traffic control, info people, etc.  If you would like one of those positions, please let me know and I will send you name over to them.

And if you know someone who might be interested in volunteering, please pass this along.  Thanks!!!

Bye for now,

Alicia -
