It's a perfect time for a Queen Salon! We do hope to see you at our gathering next week on July 10!
NOTE: This event is for Women Only who have graduated from PAX Program's Queen Workshop (formally called, "Celebrating Women Regarding Ecstasy and Power"). For ladies new to Queen Salons, background and other Salon info is at the bottom of this email.
Topic: Queen of EVERYTHING, EVERYWHERE, ALL THE TIME: Center of the Universe
Ever been annoyed by a woman who *must* be the center of attention, who leaves no space for anyone else's truth? What about having been that woman, who always has to know best? Or what if one of your girlfriends takes everything sooooo personally, when actually you just KNOW it's all about YOU? That's "Center of the Universe" in action!
• So what triggers this way of being for you? How can you tell what's a real Queenly need as opposed to just wanting things your way?
• How can you tell you're in Center of the Universe mode, and how do you approach other women when they’re caught up?
• How do you bring your most Queenly self to those moments?
• What about wanting to be Queenly but ALSO wishing you could be the center of the universe --or even someone else's attention, just for today?
Let’s share some of our observations and strategies so that we can be more conscious, honoring, and empowering of ourselves AND those in our realms! Join us on Thursday, July 10th, for great exploration with your Sister Queens to practice best ways to be Queenly for ourselves and others in our communities.
Please RSVP by midnight Wednesday, July 9. Early RSVPs, of course, are best. We so hope you can make it! With affection, Sylvia ~ Queen of Love, Acceptance, Passion, Bliss, and Playfulness
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New to this list? For those who are new to this list, here's some background on the Queen Salons:
Some notes from Fiona Nagle, the founder of the group:
"I decided to start a Queen support group in March 2010 after undergoing a Queen crisis for 2 months. Everyone at PAX has been incredibly supportive and sister groups are emerging throughout the LA-SoCal area and further up the West Coast! The goal is to have a safe forum in which we can discuss PAX material, share questions, and gain feedback on how we're applying it in our own lives. It is not intended to be a teaching class; rather, a casual venue for conversation and growth and for building our community. It is specifically for women who have graduated from the Queen workshop so that we have a common vocabulary and understanding."
"Salon": (from the French, 1699): 1. An elegant drawing room or apartment; 2. A fashionable assemblage of notables; 3. A gathering of people under the roof of an inspiring host, held partly to amuse one another and partly to refine the taste and increase the knowledge of the participants through conversation (commonly associated with French and English literary/philosophical movements of the 18th and 19th centuries, carried on until quite recently in urban settings among like-minded people). ~from Webster's Dictionary and Wikipedia
"Queen": 1. A woman eminent in rank and power; the highest of her kind. ~from Webster's Dictionary and Wikipedia
