Christmas in Old Towne Alexandria

Old Towne has lots of great photo opportunities, and what better way to capture the history than during the time when it's lit up by Christmas lights.

Sunset is showing to be 4:48pm so this will be a good chance to get some sunset photos as well as night time photos.

*** I'm posting this a little early since the holidays are coming upon us and it's usually a very busy time of the year. ***

Like all of my other meetups that I host, I ask people to be remindful of their RSVP's.  No shows without cancelling your RSVP may prevent you from being able to go on future meetups that I host.

If the waiting list gets to be too large, I will ask for a volunteer to lead a 2nd group as 20+  people is kind of the max for one person to keep tabs on :)  So if you are willing to lead a 2nd group, please put that in your RSVP regardless of if you make the going list or on the waiting list.

RSVP's will open at 9am on Monday 10/22

John or Robert, I forget who was telling me about an application that reads the pixels and makes up their own, in order to make the photo larger. What was the name of that program?

Had a good time walking around with Robert, Joel, & Cindy. Special thanks to Cindy for the emotional support when my camera took an unexpected tumble ( luckily only the hood cracked WHEW !!! ).

I truly felt your pain Toni! So glad your camera and/or lens did not require surgery! Had a great time with everyone!

Are we meeting at the front near the street or the back at the water front? So excited :-) don't want to miss the group.

I will be on the waterfront side. Not sure if that is considered the front or back. I'll be wearing a tyedye and a black hoodie.

I am opening this up to 30 people, John Eppler is going to lead a second group. We will just split into groups once everyone gets there.

In the past it has proved beneficial to wear glow-bands to help identify our group members to each other. I will be happy to bring the bands and look forward to meeting everyone at The Torpedo Factory.
