It's heartbreaking & upsetting to constantly see so many lost & found pet flyers around the neighborhood, or hear about it online through Facebook, craigslist, etc. Especially to hear that they are not microchipped or spayed/neutered. I cringe when I hear they've been taken to the shelters because I know they are overcrowded, underfunded, etc., and some are considered to be high-kill shelters (to me, any kill is too much). But I know the only way is to try to be part of the solution, and figure out ways to help. I wish I could take in fosters, or adopt more, but it's not feasible unfortunately. However, I know there's lots of other work to be done. I believe in taking positive action & try to fix things instead of just complaining about problems. I want to learn more to understand better ways to help. It's been in my heart for a while to help, but now I'm actually trying to do it.
Hands-on work with cats & dogs, posting profiles, adoption coordinating, writing, I can do some graphic work too.... I'm glad to help wherever my skills best fit. I do love being around animals, though. I'm interested in advocating too-- not exactly sure how, but I'm very community-oriented and like to activate positive change (or at least try to) whenever I see injustices. I also enjoy organizing and promoting events.
I love animals and want to help them ALL find safe, loving homes.
