Hello Unity Meetup Members!
As you may know, January is the month of the famous Global Game Jam. Vancouver hosts one of the biggest sites in the world and it is an amazing opportunity to get together, meet new people, and create some amazing games with talented people of all skill levels. Whether you're a student looking to get their first game under their belt or a hardened industry veteran looking for inspiration, you should register for the event -- I kid you not, it's an amazing time.
You can register for the Global Game Jam at http://www.ggjvancouver.com/ and spots are filling up extremely quickly (I probably should have sent this out last month -- my bad!)
As a bonus, Kim, the organizer of the Vancouver GGJ has done an amazing job and secured Carl from Unity Technologies to host a full training day. He will be here in person to teach a classroom full of GGJ participants how to create a game from scratch using the Unity game engine. If you're new to Unity, this is something you definitely want to attend. This is FREE to all GGJ participants.
So what are you waiting for? Go! Register! http://www.ggjvancouver.com/
