Hello Community,

Its time for you to show off your Unity games. Give me a shout if you want to present your game in front of a small panel of industry guys on December 12th.

Look forward to it!

Great event, thanks to the organizers for putting it together. The Hive was a great venue!

I thought it was great all around, but we clearly went over our time. I wanted to focus on tech things, but that was a bad decision. My bad, Bren.

I still had a couple of things I wanted to announce, so here goes:

If you're new to Unity and want to learn how to use it, join the January meetup (Pre-Global Game Jam) where I will show how to use Unity. I'm aiming for Jan. 16th and expect this to be about 3 hours long.

I'm also working on some Unity tutorials that are interactive, something you've never seen before (but awesome). These should be out by the new year. If you want to look at them, contact me.

If you're an experienced developer and would like to beta test a framework that helps bridge the gap between programming and design, send me a message. The framework empowers designers to rewire and add functionality without programmers, and helps programmers write reusable code. This is the same framework the Vancity Dash group were using.

Whew, Done. Thx Chris & Dana!

Pretty good. Felt a little rushed towards the end.

I've taken notes on as much feedback as I could. I'll be posting a public document for everyone to review once I'm finished. Thanks again to the panel, the presenters, and everyone that made it out!

It was very nice to hear a lot of the feedback and suggestions from the panel, it was also great to see so many people working with Unity! It would have been nice to have a little more time to mingle and have an open interaction between people working with Unity.

Thanks for putting this together, had no idea what I was jumping into but it turned out to be a lot of fun with some great feedback from the panel for all the presentations.

Sorry, I just got a free exhibitor desk for AppNation in San Francisco (which it seemed rude not to take) so have to cancel.

Nanu Interactive would like to present "Paint My Cat", the magical children's come-to-life colouring book. It's a mixture of Unity C#, with some fairly hardcore C++ computer vision, lots of low-level Unity/OpenGL interop, and some ARM NEON thrown in for good measure. If you're thinking "I wanna see how Unity can be used for awesome graphics not for a kids colouring app", then please follow for a kids app video post on Tuesday that will blow your mind.
