Hi, I'm Adam! I attended Unity as a guest for about 2 months until, unfortunately, a current member left the club; so, now I'm a member.

Why did you join Toastmasters?

My mother has been a Toastmaster since I was in elementary school. It wasn't a matter of "WHY" join but "WHEN." I first joined Toastmasters in 2004. I was an off and on member for three years at the lunch hour Campus Communicators at the University of Western Ontario and rejoined last year in my hometown of Cambridge at Grand River Toastmasters. Being a member has definitely improved my confidence in speaking in front of people. I am still working to better my impromptu speaking skills.

What are your Toastmasters-related goals for this year?

I want to complete my Competent Leadership manual and start chipping away at the Advanced Communicator Silver series.

I think if we are going to wait to getmore people we will have waited too long. We have 6 people and that is what we should go with. If others wannt to come later that is fine but they will have to get tickets on there own.Does anyone know if they are sold out yet?

I think Thursday eve. is the best day as it does not interfere with any shift at least for the eve. wkend guides who might come.

Unity Toastmasters of Toronto (Unity) is a new club right in midtown Toronto... just a five minute walk from Yonge and Eglinton! As most of our members are fairly new, when you join you will immediately feel like you fit in. And we are always looking for new members.

Unity meets every Thursday from 6:45pm to 9:00pm.

All Unity meetings take place at Castlefield Community Church, 27 Castlefield Avenue, five blocks north of Eglinton Avenue and west of Yonge Street. Please enter through the main doors on the west side, and proceed to the lower level.

(Until March 31, 2011, all our meetings had taken place on the lower level of the Unity Church, 173 Eglinton Avenue West. We sincerely thank the Unity Church and Rev. James Sherman for hosting us throughout our first years... they will be missed.)
