Meetup with Your Colleagues
at the University of Wisconsin
We are academic staff, classified employees, faculty, graduate students, and post doctoral students working at University of Wisconsin campuses, who get together to share our work experiences, current research, and institutional knowledge -- and relax, too!
UW-Madison alone is large and expansive, spanning 935 acres along the southern shore of Lake Mendota, with over 200 departments, programs, and centers, and it's difficult to connect with other staff members across the university. It's even more difficult to meet other University of Wisconsin staff members at other campuses. We meet on the UW-Madison campus (at the Memorial Union, Union South, Arboretum, Lakeshore Nature Preserve, Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery, etc.) or off-campus, and anyone can suggest a meetup.
Have an urge to head to the Terrace after work? Make it a meetup! Going to a presentation or event? Giving a tour or lecture for a general university audience? Include people through a meetup! Have an innovative idea and want to brainstorm and don't know how to reach out across campus? Try a meetup. Want to go for a hike in the Arboretum? Invite your colleagues. Just angling to do something fun over the weekend? Make it a meetup! It's up to members to make use of this site.
There is no cost/fee involved with joining or participating in this Meetup.com group, and many of our Meetups are free, on-campus events, as well. As a member of the University of Wisconsin Meetup group online, you'll receive updates about meetups, as well as be able to send emails to individuals or to the entire group, post to our discussion forums, and add meetup dates and locations yourself. Also, when you signup online, and indicate your RSVP for events, it helps us when planning our venues and coordinating with venue staff.
You're free to bring a guest or guests, family members, etc. to our events. You can even bring your pet to our Lakeshore Nature Preserve bonfires, as long as they're on a leash!
Join us and meetup with your University of Wisconsin colleagues! And, pass the word around, by telling any of your colleagues who may have an interest in this group.
Membership is open to everyone

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
