The Power to Make Life-Changing Choices

"Living from our unconscious thoughts and beliefs can cause unnecessary struggle and suffering in our lives on a daily basis. When we learn to live consciously life becomes easier, and our relationships become more joyful and much more fulfilling."

The April meetup, The Power to Make Life-Changing Choices, will be presented by Connie Viveros.

In The Power to Make Life-Changing Choices, we will use the metaphor of the internal flame to assess participants life force energy--if one's internal flame is a dim flicker or a roaring fire. In this powerful conversation Connie will guide the group through a series of questions; involving each area of the 'life wheel', as they look at money, relationships, career, body and health, family and friends, home and surroundings, and spiritual connection. Participants will then be asked to score their flame on a scale of 1 to 10 in each of these areas. This process wakes people up, breaks them free of denial and leaves them awed by their own ability to see what parts of their lives need attention!

With notebooks in hand, you will be asked to write out what choices you make each and every day that diminish your flame. Connie will then guide you to see all the different ways that your own choices disempower you and leave you feeling resigned and hopeless about your future. Then, we will invite a challenge for YOU to identify the powerful choices you could make that would make your internal flames roar!

Thank you Shannon! My ah ha moment was when one guest mentioned obligations...I've been functioning by obligation in my career and family. Connie's mediation exercise also provided a crucial visual. For me, I felt my flame was too small. Combined with looking for obligations to motivate me and the low flame, i truly have a point of refrence. I was waiting to be motivated outside of myself/ flame.. NO more!!! I'm open to exploring this!.. to bring this wonderful finding into daily practice oxoxoxo " what am I more commited to, my excuses or my dreams" ..."What causes us to be what we no longer want to be" "Just love" no obligation... I'm going to listen to the mediations on Debbie's website.

Thank you Connie... your words touched me where I needed it. I cannot work on my goals for items in the wheel until I rev up that flame and identify the stuff in the shadow.. I am constantly amazed to realize and learn more. You touched on something plus the openess of the group was ... no words to describe. This is day 2 of my new perspecitve. I have the feeling I was looking for in planning a vaction working on an interesting project. I walked yesterday focused on the farthest point rather that 10 feet in front of my.. it was interesting for me to note.

I am very excited to bring the work of my mentor and friend, a NY Times bestselling author Debbie Ford to you. Debbie passed away in February of this year after a decade-long battle with cancer, and has left a lasting legacy of her transformational work. Please join me for this potentially life changing conversation on how big change can occur through making small decisions. I look forward to sharing Debbie's work, life and legacy with you. Namaste
