Why Do We Love Dogs, Eat Pigs and Wear Cows

I personally don't eat pigs or wear cows, however I think so many people who do, are unaware (quite often intentionally) of the horrific existence these poor beings are subjected to. The more people know, the more likely they are to change what, or whom, they eat.

How can we most affect change to reduce the suffering of animals?

I wish I knew. Beyond educating others and being responsible for my own choices, I'm not sure what else to do. I'd like to connect with other likeminded people to do more.

VT dietitian, transplant from NY. I adore animals and believe they deserve a peaceful existence, free from the pain and suffering humans are so willing to subject them to.
