Monthly Meeting

This is one of our regular monthly meetings which is held on the second Wednesday of every month.  This meeting is free to all members & guests.

Guest Speaker & Topic: Ed Overstreet (http://www.emphoto.net/), leader of the Spartanburg Photography Guild.  He'll be speaking about off camera lighting with portrait photography.

What's in the Bag? Presenter: Group Member Matthew Stucker.  Matt specializes in portrait photography and utilizes artificial light for much of his work.

***NOTE*** Mr. Stucker's work does contain nudity & most work is in the "fetish" genre.  If you find this type of imagery offensive, please don't let it stop you from attending this event.  The images will not be shown without notice and you are welcome to leave the room during the slideshow presentation.  Your comfortability is of the utmost concern - as well is our appreciation & welcoming of all styles of photography.  Thanks!

Please plan to bring your themed image either on digital media like a thumb drive or CD or in printed form. Make sure to write down your settings for your image and prepare to share with the group some details about it as well.

This month's theme: Anticipating Spring

Please get creative!

Note: You do not have to bring an image to participate in this meeting, but it would make it more fun!

Steve was great talking about flashes very informative. and Matthew's "what in your bag" and "photos" were very artistic and I loved the use of accentuating the lighting.

Fod for thought for tonights meeting....do we want a Facebook page for UpState Photography?

I don't see how it could hurt to have a FB page. Most people with FB accounts probably look at that more often than they do this meet-up site.

I receive an e-mail for every message that's posted on here, so don't really need the FB page to make sure I'm not missing anything.
