Introduction

Hello - I'm an experienced diver, forager (urban, suburban, rural, etc.), and homesteader and I'm looking for some dive partners. Diving is much more fun, safer, and more productive when using a buddy system. I'm looking to dive in upper NYC (esp W.)

Do you consider yourself a freegan?

yes

What freegan strategies do you employ, if any?

diving, foraging, scavenging, heirloom gardening (organic w/ homemade compost) + skilled in mult. preservation techniques (food preservation, furniture repair, repurposing found items into art and useful household goods, etc)

What's your nearest street intersection (assuming you live in Manhattan)?

Upper west side is best for me, but, I'm pretty mobile. A place w/ nearby free parking is preferred...I'm pretty good at finding that, esp. at night and on wknds.

    Hey Garden girl

We are a small film team currently in the process of shooting a film about solutions to the world’s future food problem. The series is in four episodes and looks at what people are trying to do in order to combat lack of food, rising food prices and avoid food waste. We are looking to feature some freganns in the film who rescue food from groceystores containers - in denmark we call it dumster dive. Any one interested in beeing in the film.??
