This event is for adults only. Fellow bohemians come join us at Lazy 8 Riding in Copper Canyon TX and let your bohemian spirit run free as you horse back ride off Lake Lewisville while "crossing creeks, traversing changing terrain, and maneuvering through heavily wooded hills."
My spirit smiles just thinking about breathing the fresh air and escaping the urban hustle and bustle for a little while. The Lazy 8 assures us that beginners do well with this ride; check their website for more info. You will experience a one (1) hour guided ride with 10 minutes of training. We will ride in groups of 5 (max per their policy.) The hour will get you to the lake and back.
The cost is $30 per person paid online here: http://www.lazy8ridin... The First group leaves at 4pm and the Last group returns about 730--around dusk probably. Since we will ride in groups of 5, there will be some down time as riders wait for their respective group to mount. The ranch has a fishing pond, horse shoe games, ping pong, and we can bring other games as well. There is an air conditioned school house w/ indoor plumbing where we could setup a potluck dinner. If a burn ban is lifted by the county a marshmallow roast after sunset is also an option.
Next Steps: Please RSVP only if you are certain you will attend. Your spot will be secured when you pay online and confirm your RSVP with PAID in the comments area. Also, If you would like to do the ride, potluck during the wait, and marshmallow roast, please, in your RSVP comments include PAID / the specific dish you will bring--that way I can gauge interest in the potluck part of the meet-up. FYI, they only supply iced water and indoor tables/chairs--we bring food/drinks. We hosts will bring paper products/utensils and non alcoholic drinks. While it might make for interesting memories, I'm not sure we can consume alcohol and ride--I'll confirm the BYOB rules. Lastly, "Everyone must wear long pants and closed toed shoes, preferably a slick soled shoe with a little bit of a heel but we do understand not everyone has these types of shoes so as long as everyone has a closed toed shoe you will be fine. Also, you will all have to sign a liability waiver.
You can go to www.lazy8riding.com and click on the "liability waiver" and print them off, have everyone sign them and bring them with you (this is the fastest way, so once you arrive you can just get started riding and not have to mess with signing them all when they get there.)" So, are you ready to ride??
