My husband is categorically against for me having bees. He said we will not have bees - no way.
What a bummer(( Sorry I will not come. May be next time when you have a meetup like that he will be more willing to "consider" the idea.

Is there going to be another seminar in near future? It seems they had to do very important rehearsal for our orchestra. We have a very complicated programm for the next concert and they want to have one more day for practicing. IS there any other possibility in future to attend???

Question for those of you that already keep bees; I'm a hands on learner - would anyone be willing to come out to my place (hopefully Puyallup by the end of April) and walk me through it, step by step, show me where to put the hive and why, etc?

Tiffany, I suggest you join the Pierce county beekeepers, you will meet lots of friendly folks and they will be able to assign you a mentor who may be able to come out and help you.
