GRuB FARM ~ GROUP TOUR

We are invited for a group tour at the Olympia GRuB farm and farmhouse to see the community gardens which are mostly run by at-risk and low income youth. We'll get a chance to see the youth program in action.

This is a wonderful opportunity to see a just and sustainable working farm. Their goal is for gardeners to build the skills and connections to organize good food projects in their own neighborhoods.

The tour director is able to accommodate 15-20 people. Please arrive 15 minutes early. See you there!

NOTE: I will have the tote bags with me that I created for our group. A few people have asked about them. I sell them at my cost, which is $12.

So Gayle, what do you think, can I host a walk around the old homestead for you all some time in the near future? To Sue, the first tour would be a general tour of the whole operation. To focus on just mushroom cultivation would probably involve a more focused meet up. But I can sure go over the basics with you and show you what I have done.

Yes, I thought it was a very good tour and highlighted the advantages of small scale agriculture. If folks are interested, I'd be willing to host a little walk around our homestead.

Yes "Donny"~ I would like a farm tour, perhaps with a focus on mushroom cultivation? I prefer weekday meet ups.

Yes 'Donny' I'm interested in a tour of your homestead! Mondays and Wednesday and Thursday afternoons work well for me.

It was refreshing to see all the great things being done at Grub Farm. Very encouraging to see teens connected to the earth. Everyone needs to visit Grub Farm!
