Are you currently practicing urban farming, gardening, or raising livestock or poultry?

Just moved and must build a chicken coop and run. Want chickens to have lots of foraging area. Also, working on a garden area in Back to Eden style that is low maintenance and very little watering. Permaculture is my interest. Make smart use of everything. Have lots of fencing to do!

What subjects do you feel you are most knowledgeable about?

I use and make lacto-fermented foods - vegetables, chutneys, salsas-for digestion and healing the gut. Now have access to a commercial kitchen-to make it for others. I make kombucha (black and green tea), including coffee kombucha. I've done canning & pressure cooking for years every year in season. Had chickens for years, "showed" at Puyallup Fair, and learned a lot. Now we need a new chicken coop and fencing! In the past, we had many ducks, and I learned to butcher ducks as well as Cornish-cross chickens that we raised for meat. We had goats, and milked and made cheese for six years. Experienced in gardening and now making a new garden in Back to Eden style. I focus on nutrition & nutrient-dense foods. Healing using knowledge including the GAPS book (The Gut And Psychology Syndrome).

What sustainability subjects would you like to learn more about?

Introduction

We have chickens, and new chicks. Interested in "chicken gardens" or chicken runs to give lots of forage. Just working on a garden area now and want to develop the Back to Eden style. Requested load of wood chips free from asplundh.com.
