San Bruno Mountain Hike ending at The Broken Record

Let's hope for a clear blue day before the foggy season sets in, to hike San Bruno Mountain again.

We will meet at the Daly City BART station at 12:30 just outside of the paid area near the station agent booth.  At 12:40 p.m. sharp we will head towards San Bruno Mountain via Daly City streets.  When we get there we will take a lunch break and do maybe one of the lower trails.  Then we will do the summit loop.  We might also add the ridge trail this time too.  When we are done we will head down and take Daly City and San Francisco streets to happy hour and pub food at the Broken Record on Geneva Avenue in SF.  We expect to get there around 5:00/5:30ish.  Afterwards, people can head back towards Mission Street and the various Mission Street transit options.  Balboa Park BART is also not far away.

Dogs are not allowed on San Bruno Mountain per the San Mateo County park rules.

Bring food if you will be hungry, and be sure to bring water.

Weather info:  We hope that it won't be foggy/cloudy so we can take in the spectacular views on the top of the mountain.  When it is foggy, the views are obscured.  So if fog is the the forecast, we may reschedule this and do a different walk also starting from Daly City BART.

If you are arriving at the starting point via MUNI bus #28, please allow extra travel time because that bus is slow.

If you are running late, you can try to catch up with us using these directions: http://carfreeoutdoors.wordpress.com/2010/04/18/san-bruno-mountain-summit/ .  Look for us taking a lunch break in the picnic tables.

Hope to see you there!

Thanks, Susan. It was another great outing. The weather co-operated and the views were spectacular.

Normally I would love to do this one, as San Bruno Mtn SP is one of my favorite hiking spots, but as it happens, I'll already be there for a different group event. Stop by and say hello!
