Festival Floralia: A Native Plant Sale and Celebration of Spring

A FABULOUS NATIVE PLANT SALE: Buy plants with the expert advice of horticulturalists and landscape professionals-- all while enjoying delicious food, wine, and light jazz music. Every plant sold is native to New England and guaranteed to add ecological value to your garden. Our experts will help you choose the best species for your garden. A great selection of books on ecological gardening will also be for sale.

AND MORE: Tour a native plant garden to see the beauty of these plants in the landscape. This event is also an annual fundraiser to support Grow Native Massachusetts. It includes a silent auction with great garden-related items available for bid: a granite bird bath, outdoor planters, professional tree services, nursery gift certificates, silk scarves, and much more.

Admission includes all food, wine, music, and programming.

Live Jazz Music by the Silverwood Duo— on Sax, Flute, and Guitar.

Purchase tickets by April 18 and you can pre-order the plants you want! We will be sourcing these plants from three different nurseries and having them delivered for your pick-up at the sale.

Tickets: $28 Members / $35 Non-members

    Hi Alice,

You are welcome to attend and take photographs of the plants at the sale. Some will be in bloom and others not yet as we sell native plants that bloom at different times throughout the season. But they are great plants and many are underutilized in the horticultural trade and under-appreciated for their beauty.

I have two questions. I'm a fine art close-up flower photographer, always looking for new flowers to shoot. If I attend, would I be allowed to photograph some flowers, unobtrusively -- of course -- and without a tripod? I would use them in my artwork (ceramic and glass photo tiles), not for publication. Will the flowers be shown outdoors? Thank you for any help you can give.

This is a fabulous native plant sale. We bring in plants from about ten different nurseries for the sale on May 5. And when you pre-order you can select from about 50 different native species grown by three different wholesale nurseries (You much purchase tickets by April 18 to pre-order). It is virtually impossible to purchase this variety of native plant species from any other single source.
