The UHL Market Stand is an experiential learning space where visitors can learn skills for sustainable urban living and creative domesticating. Members and friends of the UHL lead skillshares on a wide variety of subjects, and visitors can take home free informational broadsides designed by local graphic designers; swap items they've made or grown at the UHL Swap Table; browse the traveling UHL library; and meet other people interested in urban homesteading. The stand will take place twice a month from June-October.
This project is about you, and it won’t happen without your participation and support!
There are many ways to play a part:
-- Make or grow something to swap at the UHL Swap Table (or brings materials to make and grow things). Ideas: cookies, bread, jam, pickles, plants, seeds, sourdough starter, compost, vermicomposting worms, kombucha babies, dried herbs...
-- Visit the stand! Come hang out, learn something new (skillshares happen every 45 minutes starting at 10am), and meet other people interested in urban homesteading.
-- Lead a 15-20 minute skillshare on a topic of your choice, and then chat with visitors in between skillshares about your particular subject. Email me if you’re interested.
-- Follow the project on the UHL blog: http://www.urbanhomes...
Upcoming UHL Market Stands will take place on September 11th, 25th; October 9th, 23rd, 30th.
