Boston Local Food Festival

Join us down at the waterfront, a Fort Point Channel, in front of the Boston Children's Museum for a day celebrating local Massachusetts food. The Sustainable Business Network of Greater Boston is bringing together producers from across the state, chefs, restaurants, non-profits and educators to help us understand how food is grown and prepared. A great way to support the local Mass food industry! The festival runs from 11 am to 5 pm, but the Sustainable Business Network is looking for volunteers to help out with the festival. If you'd like to volunteer, or want more info...check out Spend a day with all your sustainable foodie friends out at the waterfront! If anyone wants to carpool from the 'burbs, let me know.

I thought the turnout was great; the crowd really represented the true diversity of the city! Overall organization was great; the tents were a bit tight inside, but the volunteer staff kept up with the huge crowds. I was working for Dept. of Ag. and we met the nicest people asking about farmers' markets, culinary events, and farms across the state. I heard some producers were NOT from MA and I saw many prodcucts that weren't from MA, but overall, a fun event that really highlighted some smaller local enterprises. Congratts to SSBN!

seemed well organized, huge, great energy, wonderful weather. As a Zero Waste volunteer, i got to talk to dozens of people about composting.. that was cool. By the way, I put 3 in the numbers box because it's impossible to estimate the numbers who came.. it was huge and wonderful.

Lots of great vendors, but the lines for food made me leave early.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
