Love Nature? Things Japanese? Flowers? Turn them into Art: TRY Fun Creative Japanese Flower Arranging!
Time to try a hands on Ikebana (Japanese Flower Arranging) Class! Join us on April 16th at 6pm.
Ikebana is EXTREMELY popular in Japan! You can become a black belt in this. The head Japanese Flower Arranging honchos are men. It is also VERY creative, fun and relaxing.
So let's try it in Boston! We are lucky that the President of Ikenobo Boston will teach the Japanese Flower Arranging Class. He's a Scientist by Day. "Ikebana" (Japanese Flower Arranging) Teacher by nite.

J. Padilla-Zamudio was studying science in Japan when he encountered "Ikebana" (Japanese Flower Arranging). He immersed himself in it and promptly got a black belt in it. Now he's made himself available to show us how it is done! You will go home with a Japanese floral creation made by you.
Hope to make this a recurring Monthly Meetup Event. Come and join us! Please make sure to RSVP as the Instructor needs to venture to the Boston Flower Market---very very early in the morning before work-- to buy us fresh flower material. The cost is a modest $35 which covers the flower material + instruction. (and saves you from going to the Flower Market in the wee hours of the morning...)
For more info and payment please RSVP to the Japanese Flower Arranging Meetup at http://www.Meetup.com/Japanese-Flower-Arranging The Instructor requires Advance Payment.
The location for the class is conveniently located in downtown Boston. It is near TD Garden and Haymarket. Use the North Station Orange Line or Green Line OR the Haymarket Orange Line or Green Line. The address is: 123 North Washington Street. There is on street parking. The Class will be held in the downstairs Meeting Room.
Hope to see you there! Please bring scissors. Garden shears or kitchen shears are best. And a large paper shopping bag in which to carry your beautiful creation home!
