E.B for me, it was at about 7-8 y/o when my grandma, had me hold the head, or feet, and by 10/11, I was on my own. However, there are regulations and liabilities - hence the 18 y/old requirement. Perhaps, you will join us on another farm volunteer day. Check out - most cater to youth as young as 8 y/o.

Minimum age 18, eh? I was "processing" chickens, goats, and hogs at 13yo. Still a good thing for anyone to learn about.

    Dear fellow Boston-area Urban Homesteaders,
I have a lot of books, magazines, etc. about various aspects and skills for sustainable living, urban homesteading, etc. Is there a central location where I could donate them? Or would UH members like to have a Book Exchange Party someday? I'd love to hear your suggestions about what to do with these printed resources! Love from Barbara Brandt in Davis Square, [masked]

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
