What kinds of things are you interested in doing/learning?

Seed saving, seed trading, permaculture, finding garden space (co-op?), food drying, wine making, canning, breadmaking.

Is there anything you'd be interested in sharing/teaching?

I make great tamales, salsa, etc.! At this point, I wouldn't consider myself an expert at anything, but am a pretty good gardener and grew about 60 varieties of heirloom tomatoes, peppers, etc., and do grow some of the more unusual varieties. For example, I do lots with garden huckleberries (sauce, pies, jelly, wine).

How did you find the Urban Homesteaders' League?

I ran a meetup group in TN (for dogs) and have been active in Meetup.com for about 3 years, so checked out the sites - I won't be moving until December.

Hi - my name is Lori and I'm moving from East TN to Boston. I've been saving seed and growing for myself and my local farmer's market TN and will now be experimenting with doing some sustainable living in Dedham! I'm also an avid canner, cook, etc.

What Lori is saying about this Meetup Group

Great ideas, good experiences. Too many ones that require payment, though - I suppose that's to pay for the venues, though.
