Hi everyone.

The UHL Market Stand will be launching in less than a week! There are still lots of skillshare slots open, so please email me if you'd be interested in leading one. These will be 15-20 minute skillshares/demos/talks on a topic of your choice that relates to urban homesteading, sustainable urban living, or creative domesticating.

You don't have to be an "expert"--just someone who's excited about and experienced with the skill that's being presented. And don't worry if you haven't had a chance to attend an UHL event yet-- anyone can lead a skillshare. This project is really about tapping into the incredible knowledge and experience of this fantastic group and making it public and accessible.

In addition to leading a skillshare, all the skillshare leaders will be spending the morning (8:30-1:30) at the stand, chatting with visitors and answering questions. Leading a skillshare is a great opportunity to meet others in the group and to give back to the community. Skillshare leaders will also need to send me material for a "handout" to go along with their skillshare about a week before they present. This material will be combined into a free broadside that will be distributed at the stand.

Here are the dates of the stand: June 19th, 26th; July 17th, 31st; August 14th, 21st; September 11th, 25th; October 9th, 23rd.

Some people have asked me for ideas, so I've typed up a list of ideas below. But please don't limit yourself to this list! It's just a start to get the juices flowing. There will be a table top stove and a handcrank blender for you to use, if you need it.

Possible skillshare topics:
