Everybody loves a discount, right. I mean right after 'free', a discount is pretty good. Here are two sources of discount tickets for events in Chicago:
Brown paper tickets for local theater/music performances: http://www.brownpaper...
You can buy tickets anytime but they will notify you when a venue begins to discount tix; usually the day before a show.

And the often helpful Goldstar. Selling half price (sometimes complimentary) tix for a small(er than Ticketmaster) fee, you'll find a wide variety of events from river cruises to music to neighborhood walk/tours. You'll need to register at:
http://www.goldstar.c...

If you find an event you think the group would like, let us know.

Regards to all,

I've never heard of Brown Paper tickets. Thanks for the info.
