Urban Adventures
Do you crane your neck for a better view of graffiti-covered overpasses? Do you keep an extra pair of hiking boots in your trunk and a camera in the glove compartment, just in case? Our primary focus is exploring California's nooks and crannies and urban ruins via trail, storm drain, railroad, bicycle and caravan. Interested? Join our hearty crew of Urban Adventurers.



The secret to U.A.'s success: Our Leaders and our Members
Our leadership team provides a safe and comfortable social environment by determining applicants' potential compatibility, through screening. Our high quality participants know their duties to RSVP and to prepare for events, bringing appropriate gear, water, and memory cards! Saying 'yes' and not showing isn't tolerated as it delays events and prevents wait-listers from exploring. Members may be relieved of their duties if there isn't an event of their interest in a 2-month span, (but can re-apply for membership.)


Exploration Levels
Participants RSVP for Urban Exploration excursions based on their interest and skills in relation to event levels. Level 1 -Anyone can attend. Level 2 - Fences, barbed wire; for people familiar to leaders or who were at a level 1. Level 3. - Difficult to access, for well-conditioned members who've attended other events and uphold group's safety. Leaders are untrained volunteers; all events are at your own risk. WE'RE NOT JUST U.E! Past events include hikes, bike-rides, kickball at the zoo, beach luaus, ghost towns, concerts, movies, BBQ's, swing dancing, pub crawls, trips to the fair...Photos show our variety.






We leave locations cleaner than when we arrived; we promote the photographing and exploration of urban ruins, but don't encourage or hasten such ruin.

Final Thoughts
This is a wonderful venue for people at any stage in their personal or societal exploration. Whether they are exploring how they are interacting with other people, or how the elements around them combine to affect the evironment and people, they'll have an open opportunity to exist in their moments. This will be a divine environment for exposing oneself to new opinions and opportunities, while meeting people like-minded enough that a mutual respect among members exists.
