What do you hope to get out of this group? Learning? Teaching? Socializing?

I am seeking to interact with others with similar interests and learning more about sustainable gardening and living and being prepared for possible more difficult times ahead.

Do you currently have an urban farm or garden? Tell us a bit about it.

I practice only organic gardening (no pesticides). I have two tiny fountains which attracts the birds who help with insect control. I use horse manure and organic mulch for fertilizer, but haven't quite gotten the hang of making my own compost yet. I have two small gardens near the house: one is a year-round garden with mainly herbs, the other is seasonal.

What are your nearest cross-streets?

West Osborn Rd. and 19th Avenue

Originally from New Jersey, I live and work in central Phoenix. I practice Permaculture, organic gardening, and living sustainably. Very interested in being a part of an intentional community. Teach music and am a music director at a church.
